Over the weekend I had a quick round at one of my local courses, Wexham Park. I played on my own so motored through the front nine in just over an hour due to the kind golfers ahead allowing me to play through.
As I came to the short 10th a group of four golfers were approaching the green, once they had reached the putting surface they gave the signal for me to play up.
The hole measures 192 yards so I chose a 4-iron and tried not to rush, which is often the case when invited to play through. I made good contact, the flight of the ball was a slight fade, it bounced on the green in front of the flag then pithed straight into the hole to the delight of my audience.
This is my second hole-in-one, the previous coming at the tender age of 19 at Heath Park Golf Club so I now have the edge over my dad. His only Ace was at The Els Club in Dubai though so his story is always going to trump mine.
