- View of the Belmont House & Lodge from the 16th hole.
The course has the River Wye running alongside it and enjoys a lovely parkland setting with views of the Black Mountains and Malvern Hills. It is very much a course of two nines with the front nine being up on the higher ground then dropping down to the valley and the river for the back nine.

- The sloping fairway of the 3rd hole.
The 1st is a tempting hole but just out of view is a large pond tha is reachable from the tee, play it safe and aim for the marker post, you will be left with a nice short pitch over the pond into the green. The 2nd hole has quite a tight line into the green and the trees can also mask the direction of the wind making club selection difficult. The 3rd needs a good drive to reach the top of the slope and the left to right fairway makes you aim along the left, don,t go too far left though as the oak tree further along the left hand side can block the approach.

- The tree on the short 7th hole.
The 4th is a decent length par 3 that could play quite long depending on the wind and the 5th is difficult to reach in two becaue of the uphill fairway. The 7th has a tree on the left that could get in the way but shouldn' really cause a problem and the 8th is tempting to reach in two but the apex of the dogleg is very narrow. To finish the first nine you just need a straight drive over the tree onto the downhill fairway.

- The short 10th, taking you down to the lower back nine.
The 10th takes you down to the lower back nine with the 11th and 12th being quite open and flat. Now the river comes into play from the 13th and the short 14th has a couple of trees guarding the front right. The 15th & 16th follow the river as it bends right with a huge oak tree right in the middle of the 16th fairway. Best to aim your tee shot on 17 over the marker post or just left of it as too far right and the trees may block your approach.

- The large oak in the middle of the 16th fairway.
The final whole is a simple task of laying up to the bottom of the slope then it's a short pitch up to the out of sight green. We enjoyed the difference between the two nine's and were made very welcome by the people we met as we completed our round, the bar was a very friendly place and the food we had was top notch too.

The stretch of hole that follow the river .

- Looking along the stretch that runs along the river.
We didn't pick just one hole as the run of holes that follow the river just look so nice, starting with the short 14th, the dogleg of the 15th with the river in sight all the way along the hole and the 16th with it's large oak obscuring the fairway.
