Course Review

Nice little 9 hole wooded course. The tee plates were being altered when we played this course, (something to do with the indexes being changed), so not knowing which hole was the 1st we actually played the course in this order.

5th, 6th, 7th, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 8th, 9th.

Highlights of the course were, the 1st which gives you a good chance to start with a birdie, it is reachable in one for the power hitters & even the average distance golfer will be left with just a chip and run onto the green.

3rd holeThe 3rd hole is very short but has an elevated tee so it is difficult to judge the distance.
The 4th an uphill par 3 over 200 yards, deserves a mention just because Rick hit his tee shot to within 6 feet of the pin.
The 5th as mentioned below.
The 7th requires an accurate shot along a wooded fairway that could leave you with just a short pitch onto the green to set up your birdie putt.

We played in the winter but the greens, fairways & tees all looked well kept and some of the greens have very interesting undulations on them.
The clubhouse staff were very friendly and so were the few members we bumped into on our way round.
Overall we had a very pleasant day of golf, apart from getting lost on the course that is.

Favourite Hole

Hole 5/14:   Nice par 4 slight dogleg.
You can't see the green from the tee as it is downhill, but if you aim at the tree in the fairway you will be in the perfect position for an approach shot.
Stray too far left and the overhanging trees will obstruct your approach, too far right and that tree in the fairway will now be an obstacle. The approach shot looks great, but be careful of club choice, remember it's downhill to the green.
