Course Review
Well we were forced to play off the mats with temporary greens on every hole, but the tee areas & greens did look well kept. We wouldn't recommend a special trip to come & play this course but if you are in the area and fancy a practice round then this will do nicely. There is plenty of space for wayward shots to be recovered from, when the greens & tees are in play they certainly look fine, our only criticism was that the fairways were a little wet & worse for wear and the facilities at the clubhouse were, well apart from the bar, non-existent.
Favourite Hole
Hole
6: 497 yard par 5 dogleg.
This is a right angle dogleg, you have two
choices from the tee play an accurate shot straight up the fairway,
not too long or you will run into rough, or try to cut the corner.
The later shot is blind as there is a mound running the length of
the fairway on the right, you have to be pretty accurate though as
there is a pond just round the corner of the dogleg that cannot be
seen from the tee. Whatever you decide from the tee getting on the
green in two is almost impossible, there is a small pond just in
front of the left side & the green itself is extremely narrow
(back to front).

I live in the area and believe that this is a shocking course. The fairways and
rough are exactly the same length so you don't know what club to use. Also, several
of the greens had big dents and pitch marks. I have now stopped coming to this
course and now play at Mapledurham. Overall, it is a shocking course to play.

Seriously, avoid the course at all costs. It is the worst I have played by a
long way. There is even a lake which has a shopping trolley sticking out of it.
I think people ride bikes through the "bunkers", if that's what you
call them.
