Course Review

Undulating open parkland course hardly a flat area on the hole course let alone the greens. These were in very good condition and provided some very interesting putts. You definitely have to think your way around this course as leaving a long putt on the green is more than likely going to take another three shots to get down and make sure you stay out of that rough. The tees and fairways were in just as good condition as the greens, the only bad thing to say about this course was it's lack of length and the portacabin clubhouse.

Favourite Hole

Hole 11:   219 yard par 3..
All the holes were a delight to play but hitting the green on such a long par 3 gives you a really great feeling, getting close to the pin is even better!

I played the course on the 9th of April, 5 weeks after they opened their new Club house, with spikes bar, lounge bar, pro shop, wonderful changing facilities and it over looks the 18th hole. It must be seen to be believed after the portacabin. The course was in a fair condition, short rough but the greens had been spiked and dressed a week prior to me playing and because of the lack of rain they were far from good. Apart from that it is a course that I would not hesitate to recommend someone going and playing it, fairly forgiving and a wonderful variety of short and long holes, nice parkland course that runs alongside a canal and varies in height as you play up and over the hill it is set on.
