Course Review
Nice little nine hole course
that has another set of tees for variation on the back nine. Before we
start the course is going to be redeveloped soon so this review may become
out of date quite quickly.
The course looks as though it can get quite wet, the greens were very soft when
we played it but still playable, some of the fairways had not been cut and we
had to play off mats. All this is quite understandable during the winter months
and I'm sure the course looks great during the summer.
They said the course was going to change quite a bit, well we hope they don't
change all of the holes because, apart from the 1st, there are some well designed
holes on this course.
The 2nd is a good dogleg hole with a raised green at the end. The 4th is a mid-long
iron par 3 over a pond where you just can't afford to be short, if your not in
the pond you will be in the bunker. The tee shot from the 5th has a great view
down the fairway & the 6th is a decision making par 5.
Some nine hole courses end up just being practice rounds for most golfers but
we think you could get more than just a practice out of this course.
Favourite Hole
Hole
6: 500 yard Par 5..
We liked this hole because it is full of choices, do you take a driver off the
tee, bringing the ditch into play or go for the safe option and lay up short.
Do you then go for the green if you think you can reach and risk a wayward shot
into the pond on the right, even if you decide to lay up that pond is going to
be on your mind. Don't overshoot the green as you will run out of golf course
and anything coming up short may just end up in the bunker.

Its a good course maybe it could have better looked after fairways.

I have played this course so many times and although it is very rough around
the edges, it will never be dull with ditches, water, slopes, out of bounds and
very penal bushes. Stay away from them any you will have a great time. The greens
are much improved in the last 2 years and are quite true and it's good value.
Downside is poor maintenance of other aspects of the course and facilities.
The proposed 18 holes will completely re-model many of the holes, converting
this interesting 9 holes into 18 of some description. However, no approval has
been obtained yet and while the work is going on I for one will be playing elsewhere.

Having played the course on numerous occasions I can honestly say it was a test, you
have to hit straight shots on most of the holes or you could end up in serious
trouble.
Play it well and sensibly and like most other courses its easy.
This course is situated next to the busy A40 but still as a tranquil feel to
it.
A very good Pro shop on site with good staff who are always willing to give sound
advice especially if your spending.
Overall I would say its worth a visit, after all what do you want for £8
(9 Holes)

I have played many many golf courses, but for a quick 9 holes after a hard day
at work this has to be one of the best.
Sure, there are better golf courses in
middlesex but for only £8 for 9 holes Lime Trees is perfect for a spot
of impulse golf. Definitely worth a visit.

Just to confirm, after being brunt down, the clubhouse has reopened (so I heard) but only 6 holes open right now due to remodelling into 18.
