Course Review
The course starts off with quite an easy drive as long as you don't go left and the green is just below a slope which helps your ball run onto it. The following hole is the same, drive wise, but this time there are bunkers in front of the green that require carrying. The 3rd is quite an open hole where a missed fairway can leave you on an adjacent one, still with a shot to the green, while the 4th needs a right to left shape off the tee if you are going with a wood. The course starts to get interesting now, the 5th is a short par 4 but the steeply sloping fairway & bunkers around the green make you think about where to put your drive.

- The slope of the fairway can clearly been seen here.
The short 6th has an elevated green making club selection vital and the 7th has a blind tee shot where you should really not go left of the marker post. The par 3 that comes next is downhill to quite a large green but if you miss it there are five bunkers waiting to catch your ball. The 9th look like an easy to reach par 5 but the slope and the humps and bumps before the green make it very difficult to run a long iron or wood onto the green.

- View from the tee of the 6th hole looking up to the green.
The 10th hole has another sloping fairway which also has humps and bumps in front of the green, while the 11th needs an accurate tee shot as bunkers will catch anything left and because the green is cut into the side of a hill you will end up around 20ft below it. The slope on the 12th fairway makes it almost impossible to end up on the right side of the fairway as everything just falls away left, but you need a good drive here as it is a very long par 4.

- Looking back up the 12th fairway you can see how severe the slope is.
The 13th is another blind drive that requires a slight left to right shape onto another sloping fairway and the 14th also has a sloping fairway but is reachable in two if you get a good drive off down the left using the slope to gain maximum distance. The 15th is one of those holes where you just have to hit the green because everywhere else is trouble and the 16th a short par 4 with a blind uphill drive.

- Can I carry that bunker or do I play safe, the question from the 17th tee.
The 17th will have you thinking should I lay up or can I carry that bunker and the 18th needs a good drive to reach in two. The course looks good to the eye, the fairways are great and the greens look good, with the changes in elevation on quite a few of the holes the course plays great too. We were made very welcome and the members were great too, a three ball on the 1st tee let us off in front of them as they thought we would probably play faster than them, thanks guys. Overall a great days golf, one word of warning, in hot, dry weather this course can be really tricky. The humps & bumps on this course can easily catch you out on your first time round, especially the ones just in front of the greens. You can hit what you think is a great shot going right for the pin only to see it suddenly bounce sideways as it pitches just before the green.
Favourite Hole
Hole
10:
385 yards, accuracy is everything here.

- The drive off the 10th over the 6th green to that sloping fairway.
This is a hole where you just cannot take your biggest club and smack it down the fairway, club selection from the tee is vital and with the viscous right to left slope of the fairway you either have to hit a left to right shot or aim at the right hand edge of the fairway.
