Course Review
Council owned public pay & play
course that is very well maintained. The fairways, tees & greens were
all in good condition, one complaint was the position of the yellow tees,
they were nearly all up with the red tees instead of being somewhere between
the whites & reds.
The first few holes are quite open with the fairways of other holes
allowing wayward shots to be recovered quite easily. After these few holes
the trees tighten up and wayward shots are punished with no approach to
the green available. The well placed tree on the 5th & the bunker
on the 9th make you think where to place you tee shot.
The second nine, we thought was the more interesting although we couldn't play
the 17th as it was water logged! The course seemed a little short, maybe because
we were always level or at times in front of the red tees, it seemed as though
you could go round with just a 4 iron off the tee.
Favourite Hole
Hole
5: 339 yard par 4.
Not a long par 4 by any means but you do need a well placed tee shot
down this tight fairway. There is a tree about 80 yards in front of
the green that will block an approach from the left of the fairway,
thus effectively cutting the width of the fairway in half. Bunkers at
the front of the green will catch anything falling short & there
is a small pond in front of the next tee that will catch anything going
wayward to the right.

The course is very well kept with the greens and fairways in good condition. The
yellow tees are a little near to the red, that's the only bad thing about it.The
course is at times quite challenging, particualy the 17th, With marsh and a lake
in the centre of the fairway. My favourite hole is the 4th, it's quite an open
fairway with 2 bunkers surrounding the green. Overall I would highly recommend
it because it's quite a short 18 holes.

Played here yesterday in lovely sunshine. Course was in great condition. If kept straight this can be quite an unassuming course but there are plenty of trees around to trouble any wayward shots.
One gripe was that we reached the 17th to find no tee markers and no flag on the green. We were not told at the start of the round and there were no signs indicating the hole was not in play. We played it anyway only to discover a 19th hole and it wasn't the club house!! Instead it was a little par 3 which we played, though our round was done only to walk along the path and find the actual 18th. Didn't ruin the day at all, but highlighted that maybe communication needs to be better to the casual punter.

This course is the worst I've played and trust me I have play some bad ones. Tthey need to look after it more the course needs to be drained cos people cant play on a course like that for the money they pay the the was no offer of hot food or hot drinks for people early am tee off. So plz look after the course like it needs, cos it could be a nice place to play if u looked after it.
