Course Review
Not a long course but a well
kept one, tees, greens & fairway's are in very good condition but
the later can get a little wet at times.
Water comes into play on quite a few holes, the
par 5's give you a good chance for a birdie and there aren't that many
tricky holes, the 7th, 9th & 18th being about the hardest. The 18th
is quite interesting actually because they have added a river that meanders
straight down the middle of the fairway.
The only thing spoiling it is the electricity
pylons over the course but you do get a no penalty drop if you hit one.
Favourite Hole
Hole
7: 174 yards over water does not sound too scary but
a bunker is right in front of the green to catch any ball coming up
short.
The green itself is quite wide but not very long and there
is a river behind it, so this is definitely a hole where the right club
choice is essential.

Nice course to play on, a bit boggy in winter. Friendly staff.

Excellent over 9 Holes. Looking forward to playing the back 9 when it opens.
Par 3 7th what a challenge, how many balls must be lost in that lake?

Now expanded to an 18 hole course. Front 9 in great condition and back 9 growing
to what will be a very challenging tree lined finish to a great course. The water
hazard to the right of the first will soon be extended across the fairway to
catch any 'fluff up' tee shots. Beware the 18th... water in front of the tee...
and a small winding river flowing almost down the centre of the fairway from
the tee to the green.... you have been warned!!

Just spent Christmas Eve playing this splendid course. Even mid winter the fairways
and greens were in good nick. Savour the 7th, 9th and 18th. Nice full English
is available if required. The only down side is the motorway noise for the first
few holes.

Not bad, but the electricity pylons and motorway traffic kind of take away from
the experience.

Beautiful course in the summer, a good challenging front nine, back nine a bit
flat.

Such a good course. Have enjoyed playing there a number of times now and even
thinking of joining. Has some Tricky par 3's for you with a lovely last 2 holes.
Has a good dressing and a nice bar too.

Very good conditioned course with welcoming staff. Front nine got a american feel about it.

Played the course as part of a society. Staff were friendly, and made us all feel welcome. Now for the course..
Positives: well kept, 80% of the greens are good and fairly quick - even if not particularly receptive (due to the dry summer). I think they have made an interesting course out of the space they have and it is definitely trickier than it looks on paper. Negatives: proximity of the pylons and the M25, plus I found the 18th a bit pointless - and that it was trying to be 'too much'. Given the dry weather there was practically no-where to hit it without ending up in the river - everything runs down to it... Overall it's not Wentworth but very good value for money.

Fantastic course and the staff are very friendly. The Secretary is a real character and welcomes everyone in his own peculiar fashion, expect to have to buy him a large VAT in return! The fairways are watered so wonderfully forgiving all year and the greens are true and fast in the summer. All the wet spots have been treated with new drainage so it really is an all year golf course.

Super course in perfect condition , I have played on some courses where the greens were not as good as the fairways here. I found the 7th and 9th a tad challenging but overall good value for the green fee and the staff are helpful and friendly I will be coming back.
