Course Review
Nice tree-lined course in built
up area, you have to cross a main road twice on the way round, but the
fairways, greens and tees were in great condition. If you have not played
this course before, as we had not, then I suggest you go round with a
member or walk the course first. A few of the holes have blind shots and
you can easily lose a ball into trees or river if you do not know where
the hole goes.
The fairways have quite a few ups and downs in them with some well placed mounds
in the middle of some. There is only one hole affected by water, the 11th, a
river runs along next to the 17th but does not really come into play unless you
miss the fairway by a long way to the left.
What we liked about this course was the par 3's, most were long and the short
one is over a lake.
Favourite Hole
Hole
10: A 200+ yard par 3 blind shot.
The shot is blind because you have a clump of trees just in front of the tee,
a slight fade is needed to hit the green as if you just aim straight where the
tee faces you will end up in a series of bunkers on the left of the hole.
We picked this par 3 but there are others that we liked the 2nd is a shot of
180+ yards over what can only be described as a large hole in the ground. If
you do not carry about 160-170 yards then you are down in this ravine.
The 11th makes a change it is a par 3 that is under 170 yards but there is a
lake to carry all the way to the green, simple if you can ignore the water.

Not bad. Lots of blind shots, the 2nd hole is a completely blind par 3 which
I thought was a bit strange as you don't really know what you are supposed to
be aiming for. I managed a hole-in-one at the 14th, so that's got to be my favourite
hole :)

Much has changed since you boys have played nearly all the bunkers have been
developed making them extra difficult to get out of. Excellent golf course well
shaped you need to play well to shoot a good one round here.

No two holes the same - playing the par threes well is the secret to a good score.
The greens are also very consistent - best in late spring and autumn. Well worth a visit.
