Course Review

Long course with nine lakes, beautifully contoured greens and large American style bunkers. The course is set in lovely Berkshire country side with many mature trees.
The course now has an intercom on the 9th tee so you can order your halfway refreshments while playing the 9th so they are ready when you walk round to the 10th, a nice touch we think.

Favourite Hole

Hole 9: This is a dogleg of a full 90 degrees turn to the right.
A group of trees and a lake stop you cutting the corner, so it's an iron off the tee or you run out of fairway but then you are left with a long approach shot. You can cut the corner by clearing the lake but you have to get this shot perfect otherwise your ball will get wet.

Excellent course, although when first viewed looks very open and uninviting. Wokefield offers a society package of Dinner, Bed & Breakfast and 2 rounds of golf on a Sunday for an incredible £49.50. Our society was there in October 1999 and were extremely well looked after.

Good course, plays quite short in good weather, most par 5's are reachable in two for the bigger hitters. Test of a truly good course is the quality of greens and the consistency of bunkers, Wokefield Park does not disappoint on either count. Sunday deal is fantastic value. Having been used to playing a good private members course in Gerrards Cross I tend to be quite fussy about other courses but overall this is a great course with excellent facilities.

A wonderful test for your whole golf game. Unusually for a English course, there is plenty of Water hazards that help to present you with some interesting Driving strategies and Iron shots. The greens are receptive, undulating and in excellent condition. The course is fairly open and as a result the wind can dramatically change how difficult this course is. Overall an excellent choice for your golf.

An open coarse on first view but have to be a fairly straight hitter as once in the longer rough its reload time. The greens are consistant and very undulating. All in all a pleasue to play at very reasonable prices.
