Who is Richard Wilton & what's he all about?
I was born in 1971, for my 7th birthday I got a BBC model B computer and I was hooked. While still at school I was learning Basic at home & managed to create some simple games. I attended Bishopshalt School in Hillingdon and obtained GCSE's in Maths, Additional Maths, English, Design Technology & Geography? I stayed on at school to do A Levels in Design & Technology, Physics and Maths whilst working part time as a kitchen porter for Hillingdon Hospital.
In 1995 I started work for Sascal Displays Ltd, a small electronic manufacturing company that had about 40 employees. Over the years I have taken them from a Novell Netware 3.12 server running DOS clients, onto Netware 5 then through Windows NT server & at the start of 2006 onto Windows 2003 Active Directory. I have enjoyed this journey immensely & find I thrive on pushing the company forward. My various array of skills show my versatility in a number of fields as well as my ability to communicate well, I enjoy group projects and these give me an opportunity to learn from my peers.
In 1999 I launched my personal golf website to bring together my love of the game of golf with my increasing love of computers & the internet. Since then I have completed a number of projects for individuals & small companies and have built up a number of technical skills including, Windows NT, Windows Clients, MS Office, SQL Server, Novell Netware, Visual Basic, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, WINS, LAN/WAN implementation, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Dreamweaver & Photoshop.
